Niseko is known worldwide for its deep powder snow, but the area offers far more than skiing. Set at the base of Mount Yotei, an almost perfectly conical volcano often called Ezo Fuji, Niseko encompasses birch forests, hot spring sources, and a growing collection of world-class accommodations. In summer, the same slopes become hiking trails, mountain biking routes, and rafting courses on the Shiribetsu River.
